Dear guests and friends of the Waldhotel Ehrental,
Today we'd like to share a sweet secret from our kitchen with you. In addition to our well-known regional specialties, we have a particular passion for homemade fruit spreads. We love combining classic fruits with exciting flavors from the forest and garden. The result is unique jams you won't find anywhere else.
"Ginfonie" – Blackcurrant with Juniper. A true feast for the palate! The intense, slightly tart note of blackcurrant harmonizes perfectly with the resinous, spicy aroma of juniper berries. This jam is reminiscent of a walk through the forest and is not only a delight on a breakfast roll, but also an excellent accompaniment to cheese or game dishes.
"May Treetops" – Strawberry meets pine tips. The scent of the forest in spring, captured in a glass. For this creation, we combine the sweetness of sun-ripened strawberries with the delicate, lemony, resinous flavor of fresh May treetops (pine needle tips). A uniquely fresh and fruity spread that lets summer dance on your tongue.
"Glutbirne" – Sweet pear with ginger and chili. This one's about to get fiery! The mild sweetness of ripe pears meets the warming spiciness of ginger and a hint of fiery chili. The "Glutbirne" is an exciting interplay of sweetness and spiciness that will awaken your taste buds. Perfect for those who like things a little more exciting, it's a fantastic topping for vanilla ice cream or as a barbecue glaze.
